Johnny Dollar Horse & Snake

Having been tattooed by Fergus and Benny over the last couple of years, Neil picked out a classic Johnny Dollar design for his latest addition to his collection.

Benny loves tattooing Johnny’s designs and added this classic horse and snake to Neil’s forearm.

For those of you who don’t know, John (Johnny Dollar) Entwistle established his first tattoo studio in Flinders Street, Melbourne in the 1960s. He now owns and works at 207 Punt Rd Richmond, Victoria. The Tatt Co highly recommends any collectors of classic traditional tattoos to take the time out in your day and get down to his shop, step back in time and get a little part of history in tattooing put into your skin permanently as Johnny Dollar is few and far between, “he tattooed your Dad!”

Blessings & Virtues

Now a dead language, bonji are written characters that were developed in ancient India and brought to Japan. When Esoteric Buddhism was established, bonji became the writing form to symbolize the work of the Buddha and the deities. Each of Ryan’s tattoos have strong meaning and he sat strong in order to receive them from Matt.

For bookings and enquiries with Matt, send through an email enquiry or call the Tatt Co on 03 9602 2555.

Visit from Al

Always a pleasure having Alex Tyrell guest with us. He makes the trip down to Melbourne annually so keep your eyes peeled for his next guest spot. When you’re on the Gold Coast, be sure to check out Alfred Street Tattoo.

Vase of Flowers

While still life paintings celebrated the beauty and luxury of fine food or voluptuous flowers, they also symbolise innocence as well as impermanence - a reminder of the shortness of our existence and the fleeting nature of life's earthly pleasures. What better reference for Zoe to use for George’s back piece.

Zoe is now taking bookings for March and beyond! For enquiries with Zoe, get in touch via email or contact the Tatt Co on 03 9602 2555.

The Mascot of Death

Very lucky to have Will Brown guesting with us this week. He added a grim reaper to one of the last remaining spots on Slippery Tom.

Will works at Tattoo Rosies in Surrey Hills, NSW along with a great team of talented artists. Send him an email for enquiries and bookings.

Hold your horses

The Pharaoh's Horses tattoo design has different meanings for different people. For some, it represents strength, power, and freedom; for others, it symbolises nobility and royalty. In addition, the three horses in the design are often believed to represent different aspects of life: past, present, and future.

Doc had the pleasure of tattooing the design on Paul’s stomach. Although it’s a challenging spot to tattoo and get tattooed, both guys were strong throughout!

For bookings and enquiries with the Doc, send him a DM or call Melbourne Tattoo Company on 03 9602 2555.
