Re-opening information

We are following the latest Sate and Federal Government guidelines and have re-opened our shop as of the 1st of June. These guidelines can change at short notice, we will endeavour to keep you updated, but please keep an eye on the latest news and updates on the DHS website.

There are new requirements as advised by the State Government, these are around cleaning, client tracing and social distancing. If you are unable to follow these guidelines, please wait until ALL Government restrictions have been lifted before booking in to be tattooed.

We are continuing to follow the strict Health Department guidelines as we always have, and have added a few new things to keep ourselves and our customers safe including, limited numbers of customers in the shop, social distancing advice and increased frequency of surface cleaning to name a few.

For the time being we will be running by appointment only. There will be no direct 'walk in' appointments, you must call beforehand to check for available booking times. The door will be closed and only opened for customers with booked appointments.

Appointment guidelines:

  • You must be in good health. We are not allowed to tattoo anyone with fever, or cold or flu-like symptoms. If you have been in contact with a confirmed covid-19 case in the past 14 days, you also can not be tattooed. Please call the shop to re-arrange your appointment.

  • Come alone. Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment, they will not be let into the shop. This is to reduce unnecessary contact and to keep with contact tracing guidelines.

  • On time. You will be let into the shop at the time of your booking, no earlier. This is to minimise the amount of people in our waiting area and keep with social distancing guidelines.

  • Stay clean. Please use the supplied hand sanitiser as you come into the shop, after you use the bathroom and after your tattoo appointment.

  • Keep your distance. Please follow social distancing guidelines around other customers and front counter staff.

  • Complete all forms. As well as the usual Melbourne City Council Health Department form we have always had, we now have a new supplementary form required by the State Government. It requires your name, current phone number and date. This form is kept for 28 days for tracing purposes, in case there are any covid-19 cases associated with our shop.

  • Money. Payment methods vary between each tattooer in the studio with only a select few accepting card payments. Please check before your appointment and bring cash if necessary.

  • Questions. If you have any questions please call us on (03)96022555 or email us at melbournetattoocompany@gmail.com

This is a very busy time making sure we are getting everyone back to work and following new guidelines. Please be patient with us, we will respond to you as soon as we can. If it is urgent please call the shop on (03)96022555.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon,

MTCo
